The University Rector Gives Appreciation Certificates To The Academic Staff Who Passed Quality Assurance Assessments.  

On Monday, the 2nd of October, 2023, in three separate ceremonies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousif Mustafa Rasul, the Vice Rector for the Student Affairs and Mr. Kamal Mohammed Abdullah, the Director of the Quality Assurance of the Erbil Polytechnic University, offered the appreciation certificates to the lecturers who passed the quality assurance assessments in the Erbil Technology College, the Erbil Medical Technical Institute, and the Erbil Technical Administrative Institute.

The Dean of the Erbil Technology College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asngar, the Dean of Erbil Technical Administration Institute College of Asst. Prof. Dr. Brzo Hamza Dizeyi, and the Dean of Erbil Technical Medical Institute Mr. Umed Arshad Hawezi were present. On behalf of the university Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousif Mustafa Rasul expressed his warm gratitude towards the academic staff. He said: “The quality assurance process is an important process for the colleges and institutes lecturers that improves  the level of teachers in domestic and international rankings.

On Thursday and Friday, September 28-29, 2023, Dr. Talib Mohammed Sharif Omer the Dean of Mergasor Technical Institute-Erbil Polytechnic University participated in an intensive workshop entitled “Global Solutions Sustainable Challenge”. For a number of universities.
The workshop lasted for two days in Erbil International Hotel (Sheraton Hotel) and was dedicated to an eight-week program to connect students from Iraqi and Jordanian universities with students from US universities.
The purpose of the workshop was to create the best sustainable business solutions issues. Throughout the completions, students will develop the skills to collaborate across different cultures, solve problems, team working, and innovative business concept.
This program (The Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge) is run under the Stevens Initiative, which is implemented by IREX, is a virtual business competition that connects college students in the United States, Jordan, and Iraq on binational teams to virtually collaborate on a sustainable solution to local challenges related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Bi-national teams engage during an eight-week period through the design thinking process to ideate a sustainable solution to real needs in their local communities. Global Solutions uses virtual exchange to improve mutual understanding and problem-solving skills among students. Throughout the challenge, participants develop workforce skills and network with industry professionals.
Global Solutions is implemented by IREX and is supported by the J. Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI). JCSVEI is a U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs program administered by the Aspen Institute.
