On Thursday, the 31th of August, 2023, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, in a ceremony, the Aviar Environmental Awareness Organization fulfilled a two-month course on the environmental protection, in which students of the Erbil Technology College of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs and Higher Education; Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asngar, the Dean of the Erbil Technology College, the Chairman of the Environmental Protection Board of the Kurdistan Regional Government Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq and a number of party and government officials were present. The President of the Aviar Environmental Awareness Organization Mr. Aso Shikak welcomed the guests and explained how the course was conducted and presented the strategy of his organization to the participants.
The students participated in this course in both theoretical and practical methods and were taught by 30 environmental teachers to play their role in protecting greenery and cleanliness in Kurdistan in the future.
This course was organized in cooperation with the Ala Center, the supervision of the Nongovernmental Organizations Office, the Erbil Environmental Services and Protection Directorate, the Erbil Water and Sewerage Directorate, the Parks and Gardens Engineering Directorate, the Erbil Forestry and Environmental Police Directorate, the Erbil Environmental Office, and the Byabani Sawz (Green Desert) Organization.
At the end of the ceremony, a certificate of appreciation was presented by Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki and other participants.
Mr. Wirya Abdulqadir, a sports lecturer at the Erbil Polytechnic University, won three gold medals at the Antalya International Tennis Championships.
During his participation in the Antalya International Tennis Championships, Mr. Wirya Abdulqadir won the Antalya International Tennis Championship after reaching the final stage.
Mr. Wirya Abdulqadir, who is also the first vice president of the Iraqi Tennis Federation, defeated, during the tournament, he defeated the Turkish top seed Tarq Farakhi 2-1 in singles.
In the second round, he defeated Azerbaijan’s Alshin Rahimov 2-0.
In the doubles match, Mr. Wirya Abdulkadir and Alshin Rahimov faced Turkish player Omid Aksoy and German player Stevan Ulbreck they won the match in two sets to one (2-1) and became the chamoions.
In a telephone conversation, his Excellency Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhmad Tahir Harki, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University congratulated Mr. Wirya Abdulqadir on winning the championship title and wished him further success, while he expressed his full support for winning another championship title.
The current study aims to analyze the relationship and impact between the occupational safety management system with its requirements (safety policy, risk management system, documents and information, training and efficient awareness, consulting and communication) and sustainable performance (economic performance, social performance, environmental performance) in Dana Gas in Sulaymaniyah city.
After reviewing a group of studies and literature, theoretical concepts were written and a model and hypotheses were built based on the requirements of the occupational safety management system and sustainable performance, and based on the nature of the study and the objectives it seeks to achieve, the analytical descriptive approach was relied upon. In order to collect data, the questionnaire was relied upon, and (150) questionnaires were distributed directly to all members of society represented by the heads of units and administrative departments, supervisors and employees of Dana Gas Company in the city of Sulaymaniyah, who numbered (146) individuals throughout the company, according to the company's data during Conducting the study. After sorting and checking the received forms directly, the number of valid questionnaires for analysis reached (127). The researcher used several statistical methods, including arbitrators and Cronbach's alpha, to ensure validity and reliability, and to test the normal distribution, independence, homogeneity of variance, the simple correlation coefficient, and the simple regression coefficient using the (SPSS-26) program. The results of the study showed that there is a positive correlation and effect between the variables and dimensions of the study. Based on the results and conclusions, a number of recommendations were made related to the need for the company to focus on the requirements of the occupational safety management system in order to achieve the sustainable performance of the researched company. Recommendations were also presented to other companies, institutions and departments, and proposals for future studies in this field.

Prof. Amir Chali, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Yousef Mustafa, Vice Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, Mr. Ghafoor AhmadMullah Suwar, Governor of Mergasor District, Mr. Akara, Director General of Education of Soran Administration, alongside a number of government official of the region and students of grade (12) high school.

First of all, on behalf of the Deanery of Mergasur Technical Institute-Erbil Polytechnic University, I would like to warmly welcome you; We are pleased that a part from our institute continues to follow up and fulfill its duties, it assists all aspects communities. This workshop is conducted with the assistance, coordination and support of the office of Mr. Mullah Mustafa Barzani as entitled (Towards undergraduate study), which is dedicated to explaining high education system to school graduates.
Ladies and Gentleman: The mission of universities and colleges is not only to teach, conduct scientific research and innovation, but also has another mission, which is to serve all areas of society; In the sense of how to prepare individuals to achieve positive change in their lives and prepare them to face new developments and events. Therefore, in this regard, Mergasor Technical Institute always tries to benefit all sections of society and vice versa, take advantage of the capacities and great ideas of individuals of the community. As matter of fact, we want to be a proactive part of society and be involved in current issues, as this workshop is the result of this way of thinking.
Dear Attendees: The purpose of this workshop is to provide assistance and clarity to students who have graduated from grade 12, so that they know how to move towards university and how to deal with this important stage of their lives and prepare themselves for it; There is a reality that we all should know. Having clarity on how to deal with university and how to prepare for it plays a key role in achieving success in university education. Therefore, conducting such workshops is an important.
Therefore, I would like to thank all those who have played a role in organizing this event; In particular, and above all, we would like to thank the office of Mr. Mullah Mustafa Barzani, who, as always, has been assisting us and supporting us in continuing our academic activities.

The aim of the workshop was to provide assistance and clarity about the higher education system, how to study and how to fill out the application form. The workshop has three parts: Part one was delivery by Dr. Amir Chali under the title (Higher Education System in the Kurdistan Region) The second part was presented by the Dean of Mergasor Technical Institute Dr. Talib omer entitled (Discovering potential self-interest and how to study in Higher Education) The third part was presented by M. Hoshman Ni’mat under the title (How to fill out the Zankoline form) then some necessary clarifications were given about the system and guidelines of Zankoline by Dr. Sassam Shuani, Director of General Registry of Erbil Polytechnic University. At the end of the workshop, a certificate of appreciation was presented by Dr. Yousef and awards were presented by the Dean of Mergasor Technical Institute.
