On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the third international conference on social change and regional development 2022, under the title “Towards Practical Social Sciences, “was held by the Erbil Polytechnic University jointly with the Duhok Polytechnic University and U.T.H.M. University of Malaysia in Duhok city that lasted for two days.
The third international conference on social change and regional development 2022, under the title “Toward Practical Social Sciences, “has started under the supervision of Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the presence of Erbil Polytechnic University Rector, Prof. Dr. Idris Muhammad Tahir Herki, Duhok Polytechnic University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ari Adil, academic staff, U.T.H.M. University of Malaysia, several assistants of many universities, academic staff, local and international scientific and social researchers.
First of all, Duhok Polytechnic University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ari Adil, gave a speech on the name of the three universities in which he mentioned the number and content of the research, which consists of 126 local and international research in the fields of statistics, economics, administration, finance and banks, accounting, media and language presented in the conference.
Prof. Dr. Ari Adil revealed that, overall, 114 research had been accepted after evaluation by the special committee, and they will be discussed within two days of the conference.
Later on, in the conference’s head panel, the direction of the relations between Erbil and Baghdad on economic, social, and even scientific issues was discussed briefly.
On the second day of the conference, the sessions continued in which the researchers presented their research, and the audience’s comments were considered.
Before the end of the conference, of Erbil Polytechnic University Rector, Prof. Dr. Idris Muhammad Tahir Herki delivered a speech about the importance of preparing such a conference.
Initially, he congratulated the researchers whose papers were approved and completed the two days of the conference.
He also thanked the High Committee for Evaluation of Researches.
“Despite the main objectives, this conference has brought many researchers together with the same discipline to exchange different notions on their works, “said the Rector of E.P.U.
The Rector of EPU also stated that “the main objective of this conference is to bring together researchers from Kurdistan universities in the field of social sciences and to provide opportunities for masters and doctoral students to present their research at this conference. As well as encourage cooperation between universities in terms of publishing research in local and international scientific journals”.
Thursday 2022/11/17 Two seminars were presented on the second day of the workshop of Erbil Technology College. First seminar by (Prof. Dr Bassem Mohammed Fazel) under the title (Automotive Technology Engineering Department and Automotive industry) Second seminar by Mr. Yasin Hamid Rashid under the title (What does the Automotive Technology Engineering Department need in the future) At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College distributed certificates to the participants.
