Today, Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki met with both Committees of Scientific Magazine and Human Resources Magazine.
In the meeting, all the committees’ members were present in which they explained the quality of managing both magazines’ affairs. They also raised some points and suggestions to develop their works.
From his side, the university Rector discussed some essential points with the committee members and asked them to work on internationalizing the magazines and said that their works should serve the university researchers’ interest.
On Monday 6th of June 2022, the EPU International Relations Office Department arranged a seminar, “A Successful Refugee Student in the High Schools at Island Country, Their Experience and Predictions Comparing to the Education System at the Kurdistan Region,” for Asst. Prof. Dr. Sawsan Rafiq Hama, a Lecturer at Island University in the Island Country. In this activity, the Rector Assistant for Administrative Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Jawdat Jaafaer Khatab, several Deans, Directors, lecturers, and students were present.
The seminar continued for about one hour in which Dr. Sawsan clarified specific data education system and its steps to develop the refugee students in the Island Country. As an instructor at the Island University, she conducted comparative research between Education systems in the Kurdistan Region and the Island Country. She shed light on positivity and negativity in both systems.
Then, the discussion gate opened for the audience, who directed their comments, questions, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sawsan answered them. Later, the university Rector Assistant for Administrative Affairs offered Honorary Certificate to Asst. Prof. Dr. Sawsan Rafiq Hama.
This seminar is within the strategy of internationalizing our university and building an academic and scientific relationship with the world universities.
On Monday 6th of June 2022, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki received the Salahadin University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamaran Yo unis Muhamad Amin, the Rector Assistants, and the College Deans visited the EPU presidency to congratulate the EPU Rector on his new position.
At the beginning of the meeting session, the Salahadin University Rector said that he and his university Council Members are glad about the new rectorship of the Erbil Polytechnic University. He assured his support and collaboration to succeed in his duty and responsibility.
Later the university Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki expressed his warm appreciation towards the Salahadin University Rector and Council Members. He said that both universities should cooperate and collaborate to create an intellectual and open-minded generation for the community to serve the Kurdistan Region.
On Sunday, 5th of June 2022, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki received a group of the Erbil Technical Administration College who got top one in the Innovation Hub Lab Competition.
In collaboration with the SPARK International Organization, the Carrier Development Center Department (CDC) arranged the race between the Erbil Polytechnic University, Mosul University, and the Northern Technical University. In this competition, the students presented their best solutions for the problems in the Accounting, Marketing, and Agriculture fields.
The accounting group of the Erbil Technical Administration College could get the top one. They dedicated their reward to the EPU Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki appreciated their winning and encouraged them to develop and enhance themselves. Also, his Excellency, the university Rector, expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards CDC Department for arranging such activities that have significant benefits for the students to seize job opportunities in the future.
It is worth mentioning that three companies, Barakat Al-Iraq, Meraki Ventures, and Nakhla, participated in this competition that showed their problems. The students could discover necessary solutions for these problems.
