A delegation of Erbil Polytechnic University consisting of the Scientific Research Center General Director, the International Relations Office Department Director, and a University Lecturer visited Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences (THM) In Germany. They met with THM Rector, his Assistant, and the International Relations Director.

This visit is a part of implementing the joint project works between the two universities that the DAAD International Organization is funding to build a scientific laboratory of Renewable Energy at the Erbil Polytechnic University. Due to this, our university delegation has conducted several meetings and visits from 07/06/2022 to 11/06/2022.

In a meeting with the THM Rector, his Assistant, the International Relations Director, and DAAD Coordinator, our university representatives performed a presentation about the EPU and its affairs. They also discussed the procedures for building the renewable energy laboratory and practical laboratories. Later, our university delegation visited THM University laboratories to get familiar with the academic subjects this university offers its students.

A delegation of Erbil Polytechnic University, consisting of the Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs and the Dean of both Shaqlawa Technical University and Erbil Technology College, attended the activities and works of the Fourth Scientific Conference for the Electrical Engineering Technical Research that was held by the Middle Technical University of Baghdad.

The conference theme included the Electrical and Computer Engineering fields, which started its work on the 8^th of June 2022. Our university delegation also visited the science fair for innovation and development, which was a part of the conference program.

On Thursday 9^th of June 2022, Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst.Prof.Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, in his office, received the Lebanese-French University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Amin Salih and his assistants.

In the meeting, the delegation guests congratulated Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki for getting the Rectorship position and wished him success in his new duty. From his side; our university Rector expressed his warm appreciation towards the delegation.

In another part of their dialogue, both parties discussed strengthening the EPU and Lebanese-French University’s relationship.

On the 8^th of June 2022, in collaboration with the Erbil Health Protection Affairs Directorate and the University Health Center, most colleges and institutes Health and Safety Department of the Erbil Polytechnic University presented a workshop about Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).

The workshop supervisors started performing their presentations in the university Celebration Hall. The EPU Rector Assistant for Administration Affairs Asst.Prof.Dr.Jawdat Jaafer Khatab, several university lecturers, Directors, and the Health and Safety Department were available.

After the welcoming statement, both Dr. Sayfadin Muhyadin, the Head of the Infectious Disease Spread Unit, and Dr. Shwan Kani, the Head of the Common Diseases in the Erbil Health Protection Affairs Directorate, talked about the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), its spreading and infection, symptoms, treatment, and death rate for the audience. It is worth mentioning that the workshop will continue for five days.
