Within the framework of the internationalization strategy of the Erbil Polytechnic University and according to the Memorandum of Understanding between Erbil Polytechnic University and Lodz University in Poland, Prof. Dr. Walaa Jaudet was selected to teach as a visiting lecturer at the University of Lodz.
It is worth mentioning that the lecturer will teach three subjects (Soft Skill, International University Resource Management, Business Presentation Technology) with a total of 60 hours from the 26th of February to 30th of April, 2024.
Today Monday 4 /3/ 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Kawa Khalil Miran, Dean of Khabat Technical Institute, all scientific departments of our institute conducted a scientific trip to Akre University, for first and second grade students in the morning and evening, under the supervision of Assistant Dean Dr. Mawloud Khader and representatives and teachers We were warmly welcomed by Dr. Aras, Head of IT Department, Head of Reception Committee and Students Committee of Akre Technical Institute. Then the students visited the departments of IT, legal administration, agriculture, classrooms, farms and agricultural laboratories. The purpose of the scientific trip was to exchange scientific ideas and information with students and teachers. The staff of the university and institute expressed their pleasure with the scientific trip, appreciated the level and ability of students and reaffirmed their continuous support for this scientific and practical trip. Therefore, the staff of our institute would like to thank the Rector Dr. Manhal Alham, Vice Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Samir Maho and the heads of departments in Akre University and the institute for the warm welcome and assistance and facilitation for the scientific trip.
Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, participated in the Congress of the Union of Arab Universities that will be held on the 3rd to 6th of March, 2024 at the Baghdad University.
The Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in the opening ceremony of the 56th Public Congress of the Union of Arab Universities, which was conducted under the supervision and presence of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Aboudi and Dr. Amr Izzat Salama, the General Secretary of the Union of Arab Universities began its work.
After opening the ceremony of the congress, which was held in the presence of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Aboudi, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector and Presidents of Kurdistan Regional Universit on behalf of the Kurdistan Region, they performed a series of meetings with the participants of the congress.
In these meetings, the Kurdistan delegation exchanged views on the development of relationships and collaboration between universities.
The conference is scheduled to discuss several issues related to the education process in universities, including international collaboration, the Bologna system, Arab classification projects for Arab universities and several other important issues.
It is worth mentioning that the Erbil Polytechnic University is one of the member universities of the Union of Arab Universities that is officially invited to the annual congress of the Union, each session hosted by a member university.
On Sunday, the 3rd of March, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Ahmed, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulkhaliq Nader Qadir, the Dean of the Shaqlawa Technical College and the Chairman of the Committee of Administrative Specialties Sector in the Erbil Polytechnic University, held a workshop entitled “Review and Arrangement of Curricula of Administrative Departments”.
This workshop lasted for three hours, with the participation of all the heads of administrative departments of our university, which consists of 26 heads of departments. They intensively discussed about changing several curricula within the curriculum of scientific departments and Changing the names of several scientific departments to suit the labor market and changing them to modern names so that students who graduate from that department can easily find job opportunities in the future.
The workshop is the beginning of several important changes to further develop the scientific departments of administration and keep up with the scientific developments and changes of the current period, and also adapt to the labor market.
