On Tuesday, the 30^th of July, 2024, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Omer Yasin, the Director of the International Relations Office of the University, participated in the 4th Conference about Humanities and Social Sciences that was arranged by the Middle Euphrates Technical University in collaboration with the International Union of Historians in Erbil.

The representative of the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in the conference entitled “The Role of Humanities in Building a Better and More Developed Future” at the official invitation of Middle Euphrates Technical University. In the conference 61 research and 73 researchers were represented to the audience.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, Prof. Dr.  Azad Hassan Qadir, the Vice Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Asst. Pof. Dr. Yousef Mustafa Rasul, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, several members of the university council, and the directors of the university presidency held the closing ceremony of the summer internship of students of Palestinian and Sultanate of Oman universities.

In the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the General Director of the Scientific Research Center, delivered a speech on behalf of the university presidency and asked the students to benefit from the experience gained in this training in the future They also thanked the Presidency of Erbil Polytechnic University, all colleges, institutes, and the staff of the university for the proper warm receiving and the services provided to them, and expressed their admiration for the progress of the Kurdistan Region in all fields, especially in science.

At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the students and the students presented special gifts of their universities to the Erbil Polytechnic University.

Receiving  these students is a part of the student exchange program in which annually our university hosts a group of students from Arab countries and the world in order to conduct summer internships and in return sends a number of students from colleges and institutes affiliated to our university.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asngar, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, received Dr. Mohammed Ozdemir, the Vice President of the TISHK International University and his accompanying delegation.

In a meeting where Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the General Director of Scientific Research Center; Dr. Diler Abdullah, the Director of the Public Registration of our university were present  both sides discussed the promotion of scientific relations between the two universities, especially in holding the annual scientific conference between the two universities that is scheduled to be held in October this year.

Another topic of the meeting was the implementation of joint higher education (master’s) projects between the two universities, which has had a successful experience in this field between the two universities in the past. For this purpose, they decided to continue the meetings for further collaboration in the future.

Prof.Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki separately welcomes a several students of the Egyptian University of Science and Technology and colleges and institutes of our university.

In the presence of the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Omer Yasin, the Director of the International Relations Office of; the Rector Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Harki received seven students of the Egyptian University of Science and Technology who are visiting the Erbil Polytechnic University for the summer internship.

Later, the Rector of the university received seven students of colleges and institutes of our university who are prepared to go to Egypt next Saturday to conduct summer internship at the Egyptian University of Science and Technology. In the meeting, the rector advised the students to make the most of their training and try to introduce the experience of the Kurdistan Region to the country and show them Kurdish culture.

Receiving and sending these students is a part of the student exchange program in which annually our university hosts a group of students from Arab countries and the world for summer internships and in return sends a number of students from colleges and institutes our university to Arab and world universities.

The student exchange process is part of the internationalization strategy of Erbil Polytechnic University, which gives our students the opportunity to become familiar with the scientific and cultural experience of the countries where they conduct their training.
