On Monday, the 3rd of April, 2023, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the second phase of the training course for the establishment of renewable energy laboratories was held at the Scientific Research Center of the Erbil Polytechnic University, which will continue for five days.
The course topics are (Solar thermal Energy, Photovoltaic, Solar Energy, and Wind Energy), in which the staff of the Department of Mechanics and Energy of both the Erbil Technical Engineering College and the Erbil Technology College participated. The THM teacher Dr. Baker Farangi will present the course within five successive days.
It is worth mentioning that the course is of special importance for the future of renewable energy in the Kurdistan Region, as the participants will teach practical lessons in this laboratory in the future, as they will be able to prepare talented people in the field of clean energy.
The course will be held in three stages within the framework of the joint project (Renewable Energy Laboratory) of the Erbil Polytechnic University and THM University with the financial support of Daad. The first phase of the project was held last year in November. The delegation of the German university will visit our university in the nearest future to start the third and final phase of the project.
Within the strategic plan and efforts of the Erbil Polytechnic University to develop the skills of the university staff, on Monday, the 3rd of April, 2023, a training course for a number of teachers and employees was held which will last for four days. In this event, the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Vice Rector, deans, and directors were present.
In collaboration with the German University (THM) in the framework of the implementation of the project (Academic Education in the Field of Renewable Energies) which is supported by (DAAD), Erbil Polytechnic University opened a training course for the university staff entitled (Project Management, Systematic Development Solution). The course will continue for four days in the at the Scientific Research Center Hall of the university.
This course that will be delivered and supervised by Professor Dr. Klaus Behler, twenty-three academic staff and several administrative staff of technical colleges and institutes participated. The main subjects of the training course are: Project Management, Problems Solutions, and Systematic Development that will be explained and discussed intensively during the course.
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan Prof. Dr. Edrees Mohamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, congratulated all teachers, employees and students of the Erbil Polytechnic University on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He hoped that this month would spread a better life and prosperity on Kurdistan nation.
