The project was implemented with the participation of the Ministries of Higher Education, Education, and Labor and Social Affairs in both the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government. It was carried out through the statistics authorities in Erbil and Baghdad, in coordination with UNESCO, and was supported by the European Union.
At this stage, representatives from the statistics directorates of the provinces of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Nineveh, and Salahaddin participated, along with representatives from the ministries of Higher Education, Education, and Labor from both governments. Representatives of companies from these provinces in the green and digital economy sectors also took part.
During the two-day workshop, a Sector Council (SC) for each participating province was formed by the participants, and the council members were selected. Asst. An initial annual draft plan was prepared to make the council active, strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, and help align academic and vocational graduates from the Ministries of Education and Higher Education with the needs of the labor market.
