On Tuesday, the 9^th of December, 2024, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University received a delegation from Green Acres Global.

Today, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University received a delegation from Green Acres Global in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the Director of the International Relations Office Mr. John Langetam, the President of the organization and the accompanying delegation included Dr. Saman, Dr. Ali, and Dr. Tariq.

The purpose of their visit was to open a course for developing and strengthening the ability of communication in English language for the staff of the university presidency, teachers and employees of the university. The Rector expressed his readiness to cooperate and congratulated the staff who are bringing special and trained teachers from the United States to the Kurdistan Region for this purpose, and assured them that their work will be very useful and effective.

At the beginning, the courses on developing and strengthening English language communication skills will be opened for the presidency staff, teachers and employees of the university, and in the second phase, a letter of understanding will be signed between the university and the organization Students should also be opened.

The Huawei-ICT Academy at the Erbil Polytechnic University has won the 8th semi-finals of the Huawei Global Technology Competition (2023–2024) with the participation of 22 countries from the Middle East and Central Asia.

The competition was held from (18 to 22 /12/ 2023) in Bahrain, in which Huawei ICT Academy of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated as the winning team in Network Track and could win the second place by our two students (Bayar Qahar Qadir) and (Bashar Qahar Qadir). These two students were supervised by the Director of the Academy (Mr. Shirin Abdullah Anwar). Also, another student of the Koya University named (Bawar Zring) participated with our university team.

After this victory, our students as the Huawei ICT Academy of the Erbil Polytechnic University in China are going to participate in the final global round.

It is worth mentioning that the Huawei Academy at Erbil the Polytechnic University was selected as the best academy in Iraq. This is the third year that Huawei Academy of our university has participated in the annual Huawei ICT competition. This year they was able to achieve very good results and reach the world level competition after conducting a number of tests.

A Representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in the Conference of the Arab Universities for Registration and Admission Affairs which continued from 18/12/2023 to 21/12/2023 in Tunisia.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarsam Khalil Omar, the Director of the Public Registration as a representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University and a member of the Arab Universities Organization for the Registration and Admission Officials participated in the 40th conference of the organization held this year at the University of Tunis Al-Manar in Tunisia.

On the sidelines of the conference, the representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University held several important meetings and interviews with the Iraqi Ambassador in Tunisia and representatives of the participated universities  in the conference to exchange information and strengthen relationships in the field of registration and admission to more serve our university students.

A lecturer of the Erbil Technology College represented Erbil Polytechnic University in a training course entitled (3D Scanning in Additive Manufacturing) which was held from the 11 to 15^th December 2023, at the University of Freiburg.

This course was sponsored by the German International Organization (DAAD) in which Dr. Dilêr Abdullah Ahmed, a lecturer at the Erbil Technology College, participated and Prof. Dr. Zeidler as the course supervisor and Dr. Abdulkader Kadauw was the project leader and coordinator of the project and the course.
