Students of the Erbil Polytechnic University successfully completed their summer internship in the Sultanate of Oman

On Monday, the 31 of July, 2023, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Director of the International Relations Office Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, and Dr. Sarsam Khalil, the General Registry Director received our university students who had visited the Sultanate of Oman for summer internship.

In the interview with the Presidency of our university, the participants were asked to talk about their trip. The students mentioned that they gave seminars there and talked about the Kurdish leaders and culture of the Kurdistan Region to a large part of the people of the country.  Furthermore, they said their trip was successful and they enjoyed. They  hoped such trips will continue in the upcoming years.

A Three-Day Workshop Was Held For Students Of Colleges Of Technology, Technical Engineering And Administration In Erbil

In the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education and Mr. Kovan Omar, the Director of the Career Development Center Department, the Dean of Erbil Technology College, the Dean of the Erbil Technical Engineering, and the Dean of the Erbil Administration College, a three-day workshop for college students was held by The Station (Al-Mahata) Foundation.

The program was dedicated to prepare trainers and providing training to youth in the field of Business Building that is funded by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and sponsored by the Korek Telecommunication Company, and implemented by the Station Foundation in which 160 students were participated.

At the end of the workshop, certificates were awarded to the participants by the Station Foundation in collaboration with GIZ and the Korek Telecommunication Company.

Lecturers of the Erbil Polytechnic University participate in a workshop about Youth Capacity Development

On July 24, 2023, as an active participant in the project managed by WFP and UNICEF, two teachers of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in a workshop called (TOT) on developing the skills of youth and students in the community (Life Skills), which lasted for three days in Sulaimaniya at the Titanic Hotel.

This workshop is a part of the #Jassur (Bridge) program run by WFP and UNICEF to develop youth skills at the university level in Iraq and Kurdistan.

The academic staff from the Erbil Polytechnic University and several other universities participated in this workshop in order to train teachers to further develop the skills of students and youth in Kurdistan and Iraq.

Erbil Polytechnic University Arranges A Farewell Ceremony And Summer Internship Fulfilment For Six Palestinian Students

On Monday, the 24th July, 2023, the closing ceremony of the summer internship of six Palestinian students was held in the conference hall of the Erbil Polytechnic University in the presence of the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and the Vice Rector for Students Affairs.

In the ceremony, the students jointly presented a seminar in which they thanked the cooperation of Erbil Polytechnic University and the people of Kurdistan and spoke about the trips, explorations, their visits, and the information they received and learned. Later, one of the Palestine students spoke by Kurdish language and thanked the Rector and the teachers for their cooperation as they benefited from the scientific trip.

Afterwards, the Vice Rectors and Directors presented the certificates of participation and the Kurdistan flag to the students.

After the seminar, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki presented university plaques to the Palestine students and hoped that their trip would be full of knowledge and information. The students thanked the Rector again and presented him the logo of Palestinian University.

The summer internship of these students continued for two weeks from 9 to 27 of June, 2023 and during this time they conducted the summer internship in the Erbil Technical Engineering College and Erbil Technology College and visited several Kurdish cultural and tourist places.
