 The Director of International Relations invited as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Navarra, Spain. 

Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Omar Yassen, the Director of International Relations and lecturer at Erbil Technical Administrative College in the framework of the European Union Jean Monnet Chair, was invited for two weeks as a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Navarra in Spain. During his stay, Prof. Yassen gave two lectures to undergraduate on migration from/to Iraq and how Iraq has become a country that hosts thousands of refugees and produces potential migrants. Prof. Yassen was also presented a Seminar to the staff of Department of International relations, Department of Administration and Department of Constitution of secondary movement of migration and case study of Iraq.

 

The visit was funded by the Jean Monnet Chair, which is a three year project that is managed by Professor Maria-Teresa Gil-Bazo at the Faculty of Law at the University of Navarra in Spain. The project focuses on the EU’s New Pact on Asylum and Migration. Spain. 

Introduction ceremony of students of both Erbil Technical College of Engineering and Erbil Technical College of Administration for the first year students of the academic year 2024-2025

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, under the supervision and presence of the Dean of Erbil Technical College of Engineering, Prof. Ayad Zaki Saber, Dean of Erbil Technical College of Management Mohsin Sharif Sherwani, accompanied by the Assistant Deans and the presence of the heads of departments, teachers, employees and students of both colleges and the director of the second campus of the university Erbil Technical College of Engineering and Erbil Technical College of Administration held an introduction ceremony for the first year students of the academic year 2024-2
The ceremony began with a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs of Kurdistan and the late Barzani, then welcoming speeches and scientific speeches of the two deans of the college and speeches of students representatives of both colleges It ended with the happiness and comfort of the students and the future of the country

A seminar about introducing the “Innovation Challenge Bootcamp” program for the American University of Kurdistan – Duhok was held for our university students.

Within the framework of focusing on special programs to improve the academic level of our university students, the American University of Kurdistan – Duhok held a seminar about introducing a special program. This program aims to support talented students, develop their skills, and prepare them to face social challenges.

During the seminar, they introduced the program, which included several fields such as technical studies, health techniques, agriculture techniques, renewable energy technology, and banking services.

The university invited students to join the seminar, especially second and third-year students from engineering, health and medical sciences, technology, international marketing, and language departments.

At the end of the seminar, 42 students were selected to join a two-week course on project implementation in the mentioned fields. The American University of Kurdistan – Duhok covered all the program expenses.

The seminar was held in the Bona Hall at the Enlightenment Center in Camp 1 of our university on Monday, 10/2/2025, at 12:30 PM.

The Erbil Polytechnic University hosted a seminar in Kurdish about building trust in educational and higher education institutions.

On Monday, 3rd February 2025, Erbil Polytechnic University hosted a seminar. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the university, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Kalari, Head of the Quality Assurance Department at the Ministry of Higher Education, the Assistant Rector for Scientific and Higher Education Affairs, and some university professors from Kurdistan attended the event. The Ministry of Higher Education organized this seminar for all public and private universities in Kurdistan.”

The seminar was about accreditation for education institutions in Kurdistan.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Mohammed Hussein Kalari welcomed the respected guests. Then, Dr. Hunar Issa, a member of the Kurdistan Accreditation Board and the American University of Kurdistan Board, presented the seminar.

 

At the end of the seminar, the floor was opened for questions and discussions from the university participants.
