On Thursday, the 28th of March, 2024, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Kihan Zrar Ghafoor, the Dean of the Erbil Technology College, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the General Director of the Scientific Research Center, visited the Consulate General of the Republic of China in Erbil and they were welcomed by Mr. Liu Jun, the Consul General of China and the Head of Political Department Chen Gouching.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the Erbil Polytechnic University to the consul and the staff of the consulate. They also discussed the collaboration of the consulate in establishing and strengthening relations between our university and Chinese universities In addition to culture exchange between both countries, the Kurdistan Region and China.
The Chinese Consul gladly agreed to the proposals and expressed his full support for our university that they will do everything through them to strengthen relations between our university and universities in his country. Other scientific topics and some other issues such as financial assistance and cooperation were another topic of the meeting.
