In collaboration with the International Universities Committee (IUC) and Akdeniz University in Antalya in Turkey, Erbil Polytechnic University has held a workshop for three days from 23 to 25^th of March, 2021.

In this workshop, the Specialists of Akdeniz University delivered several Bologna Process Implementation and ECTS System subjects. They performed a fruitful dialogue regarding the quality of implementing this process in the EPU.

On the last day of the workshop, the EPU delegation visited Akdeniz University to see the Bologna Process Implementation and ECTS System that is practically going on in this university.

It is worth to be mentioned that 48 European Countries are members of the Implementation of the Bologna Process and ECTS System and Turkey is one of the countries that implementing this process in all of its universities. In the last three years, Erbil Polytechnic University began to reform the higher education in the annual system to implement the Bologna Process and ESTS System in its colleges and institutes.

After Attending the Second International Conference on Aspects of Materials Science and Engineering-ICAMSE2021,  assist. Prof. Dr. Khalil Hassan Younis has been rewarded for the “Best Presentations and Papers.” In this international Conference, he represented the EPU by two research papers that were accepted and published in the Materials Today Proceedings magazine that has been indexed in the Scopus.

The primary scope of this Conference is to bring professional engineers, academicians, and researchers of matching interests on a common platform to share new ideas, experience, and knowledge in various fields of Materials Science and Engineering.

On Wednesday, 17^th of March, 2021, Assist Prof. Dr. Kawa Abdulkarim Sherwani, the Rector of EPU, and Dr. Khalid Muhammad,  Arab Union for Development and Environment Representative, signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the Erbil Polytechnic University.

The aim behind signing the MOU is to strengthen our university and Arabic countries’ relationship in education, private research regarding environment protection, and human resources.

At the time of signing the MOU, Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Assist.Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the Director of the International Relations Office, and Mr.Kovan Omer Hassan, the Director of Curriculum Development, attended the meeting.

To celebrate the Kurdistan March Rising Memories of 1991, Erbil Polytechnic University opened a Football League for the morning and evening shift students of Khabat Technical Institute. In this league, five teams participated. The Khabat Technical Institute Dean Assistant and instructors attended this final game of the league.

On the 9^th of March 2021, the final game was played by Second and First-Year Students of the Law Administration Department, who scored 3-1 galls. They became the champion of this league, and they have been rewarded by the Khabat Technical Institute Dean Assistant, lecturers, and the Students Union of Kurdistan.
