A delegation of Academic Staff of EPU participated in a workshop in Turkey

A group of an academic staff of Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) headed by Professor Assistant Dr. Kawa Sherwani, the Rector of EPU, and a delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research led by Dr. Muhamad Hussein Kalari, the General Director of Supervision and Quality Control, attended a workshop supervised by the SPARK organization.

The development of the workshop has continued from 26-29th of November 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey. It includes the Higher Education Program, getting familiar with the Bologna process, internationalizing the universities, the history of the education system in the world, and changes that occurred by globalization.

It is worth to be mentioned that both Erbil polytechnic University and Mosul University have a mutual interest in the Bologna program. The Spark organization prepares this program, and several experts from Turkey and Holland joined it.

Erbil Polytechnic University Delivers An International Standard English Language Courses

After signing the international agreement, the EPU has received authorization certification, which has been approved as “an approved Imperial English UK Academy partnership.” EPU and IEUK jointly offer English language courses for first-year undergraduate students for the second semester 2020-2021.

In this course, students will get 12 ECTS and an International Trusted Certificate. It will be delivered by practiced and trained instructors who aim to enhance the students’ English language skills and prepare them for the labor market.

Note: This course costs 50,000 IQD.

The Peshmerga Ministry and Coalition the Forces Delegation Visit the Erbil Polytechnic University

On Wednesday 18th of November 2020, a delegation of the Peshmerga Ministry and the Coalition Forces Delegation visited the EPU Presidency. They met with the International Relations Office Director, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah and the Head of the Cultural Relations of the International Relations Office Directorate, Dr. Abdullah Omer Yassen, and the Supervisors of the Project Management.

The Peshmerga Ministry delegation members consisted of Lieutenant Colonel Shakhawan Salam, General Jawhar the Reformation Director Agent, and the Coalition Forces members were Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin (German Forces for the Capacity Strengthening in Iraq), Lieutenant Colonel Yavis, Major Pitter, Colonel Trend from Netherland Consulate. The aim of this meeting was implementing the lecturing of our university in the training courses which will be presented on 6th December 2020, which will continue for two weeks.

The training course will be delivered in the Reform Directorate of the Peshmerga Ministry and funded by the Coalition Forces. The officers of different directorates of the named ministry will attend this training course to present the same lectures in their departments and directorates.

Erbil Polytechnic University Hosts The Transportation and Communication Minister In A Webinar

Tomorrow at 8:00 PM, Mr. Ano Jawhar Abdulmasih, the Minister of Transportation and Communication of the Kurdistan Region Government, will be a guest of honor at the Erbil Polytechnic University.

The named minister will present a webinar regarding “The National and Religious Minority between Kurdistan Region and Iraq, History, Reality, and Fear of the Future.”
