Erbil Polytechnic University And Saladin University Together Will Open Master And PhD Studying Program

On Wednesday 20th of November, 2019, the Presidency of Saladdin University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the presidency of Erbil Polytechnic University in order to build and develop mutual trust and academic relationship.

The MOU signature was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Abdulkareem Sherwani, the Rector of EPU and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dzayi, the Rector of Saladdin University. Also, both assistants of the Rector of EPU for scientific affairs and administration and the director of the International Office of EPU attended the meeting.

In this meeting, EPU and Saladdin University signed an agreement for opening the studying program of Master and Ph.D. which will be supervised by the instructors of both universities, especially the specializations that do not exist within EPU academic studying. For this reason, Saladdin University agreed to open Master and Ph.D., particularly for EPU staff.

Signing of this MOU will have an important impact on the mutual academic understanding between both universities, aimed to build academic collaboration and sustainable development that will implement various targets.

Moreover, the context of the MOU consists of several points, including steps toward continuous academic activities between both universities to hold conferences, workshops, Scientific and academic symposiums and studying. Furthermore, to exchange human resources and get benefits from each other in the laboratory, academic staff and scientific academic capacity building between both universities.

After signing the MOU, his Excellency, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the Rector of Saladdin University for their constant academic cooperation and collaboration with EPU.

EPU Announces A One Month Workshop In The Scientific Research Center

To keep on the sustainability of the activities in the university, the Committee of Scientific Activities of Erbil Polytechnic University will conduct a one month workshop for all the academic staff of the colleges and institutes which will include eight titles.

The most important subjects of this upcoming workshop consist of the needs of researchers and the conditions of incorporation of quality assurance in the universities. The seminars and the activities of this workshop will be delivered by academic experts of EPU, as it is shown in the below picture.

An Announcement Of EPU Regarding Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP)

Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) would like to announce about Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) for the 2020 summer program. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2019. IYLEP is a unique educational exchange opportunity for skillful and dedicated young Iraqi leaders to travel to the U.S. and live in U.S. communities and culture, in the beginning, they will stay for four weeks.

IYLEP is sponsored by the U.S. Government which consists of three programs to apply: IYLEP for Undergraduate Students, IYLEP for High School (English Speakers), and IYLEP for High school students (Arabic Speakers). EPU Attending An Iraqi-British Business Conference In London

A delegation of Erbil Polytechnic University represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani the rector of EPU, accompanied by Mr. Zanear Jabbar an instructor at Erbil Technical Administration College, has attended Iraqi-British Business Conference held in London in the U.K.

This business conference was between Iraq and the UK that have been arranged by the Iraqi –British Business Council. The Ambassador of Iraq in the UK, representatives of KRG, representatives of Chamber of Commerce in Kurdistan and a number of Stakeholders, investors of Kurdistan and the UK have participated in the conference.

Annually, the Union of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kurdistan Region in collaboration with EPU deliver several training courses for students and alumni of EPU in order to enhance their capacity building skills and business qualification to make them easily seize job opportunities in the labor market.
