On April 8th 2019 a delegation of 22 lecturers and staff members from Erbil polytechnic university has traveled to Lebanon in order to participate a workshop on European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

ECTS credits represent the workload and defined learning outcomes (“what the individual knows understands and is able to do”) of a given course or programme. 60 credits are the equivalent of a full year of study or work. In a standard academic year, 60 credits would be usually broken down into several smaller components.

The University is willing to implement the system after the end of the workshop that, lasts for six days.

On Wednesday, April 3rd 2019, a delegation from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) visited EPU and it was received by Assistant prof. Dr Kawa Sherwani the president of the University.

The aim of the visit was to discuss the ways of collaboration between the both sides in different aspects.
The Two Universities have agreed on conducting a joint international conference in a near future as well as opening ways to exchange staff and students between EPU and UTHM.
