Erbil Polytechnic University in collaboration with Mosul University Launch The First International Virtual Scientific Conference 2020

In cooperation with SPARK Organization, Erbil Polytechnic University and the University of Mosul are launching the First International Virtual Scientific Conference 2020 (IVSC2020) under the title “Corona Pandemic: Present and Future.” The conference will be held on November 11th & 12th, 2020, via running The World platform. Thus, research in Iraq is on track in all fields, specifically in times of COVID19, as researchers and educational institutions are fully aware of the necessity of such academic work and its role in unraveling the mysteries of our time that keep rising.

This conference aims to bring scientists, experts, instructors, and NGOs together to share and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge in a scientific framework, in addition to working paper presentations in different themes. Thus, IVSC2020 serves as a multi-disciplinary platform for discussing current issues related to COVID-19 and future challenges.

The Following up and Supervising Higher Committee of Bologna Process and ECTS System Held a Meeting

On Monday 26th of October 2020, with the EPU Rector’s presence, the Following up and Supervising Higher Committee of Bologna Process and ECTS System conducted the eleventh round-table meeting in the Erbil Polytechnic University.

The Higher Committee of the Following up and Supervising members of Bologna Process and ECTS System discussed the necessary suggestions regarding implementing the mentioned process and system.

They also focused on the health construction implementation of protection against the pandemic Coronavirus amongst the university students, lecturers, and staff. And many questionnaires and procedures of providing the ECTS System have been discussed secularized for the next academic studying year, which will be implemented in the colleges and institutes.

Erbil Polytechnic University and Ministry of Peshmerga In collaboration with Coalition Forces pronounce a Project

On Sunday 25th of October 2020, the Ministry of Peshmerga delegation, accompanied by Coalition Forces Counselors visited the Presidency of the Erbil Polytechnic University that the EPU Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Abdulkareem Sherwani and the International Relations Office Director, Asst. Prof Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdulla warmly received them.

In this meeting, both parties discussed the works and activities of the Ministry of Peshmerga in which they decided Coalition Forces in collaboration and coordination with the EPU review Commanders College program and open training courses to the Peshmerga Officers within the named ministry activities.

For this reason, Dr. Abdullah Omer Yassen, the collaborator of this project, said: “at the beginning, our university will deliver a training course that lasts for one week. This course will be about Project Management for 22 officers who work in the Reform Directorate of the Peshmerga Ministry and will receive Certificates.”

The Peshmerga Ministry Delegation consisted of Brigadier General, Hazhar, Relations, and Collaboration Directorate, Brigadier Dler Omer Miran from Reform Directorate, Lieutenant Colonel  Shaxawan Salam, and Coalition Forces members consisted of Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin (German Forces for Capacity Strengthening in Iraq), Lieutenant Colonel Yavis, Major Pitter, and Colonel Bur Trend from Netherlands Consulate.
