On Monday 2023/1/23 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Idris Mohammed Tahir Harki, Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University Yousef Mustafa, Vice Rector; Mr. Haval Ahmad Akrayi, Assistant Dean of Erbil Technology College and Mr. Salar Ahmad Rasul, Head of ICTE Department, announced the final results of the course and distributed gifts to the participants Erbil College of Technology won the biggest victory in table tennis. Among teachers, employees and students, M. Bland Mohammed Aziz won the first place and became the champion of the table tennis tournament and student Ibrahim Hassan won the first place opposite students. And in the chess tournament Mr. Hawdam Hatam won second place opposite teachers and employees and Zeinab Peshraw won fourth place at the girl’s level.
On Sunday, the 22nd of January 2023, in the presence of the Vice Rector for Students Affairs Prof. Dr. Yousef Mustafa Rasul and several deans of colleges and institutes, the Directorate of Activities of the Presidency of the University, opened a table tennis league for teachers, employees and students (girls, boys) of all technical colleges and institutes of the Erbil Polytechnic University that lasted for two days.
Before the start of the tournament, the University Rector delivered a speech in which he congratulated the Directorate of Activities of the presidency and the supervisors of the tournament and wished success to the participants. He also reiterated his support for sports activities and said that they have decided to build several sports projects in colleges and institutes that will serve students.
It is worth mentioning that several matches were held on the first day of the league, on the second day on 23rd of January, the final matches of all three levels were held with the following results:

A delegation from Erbil Polytechnic University visited the General Director of Health in Erbil on Monday, the 23rd January , 2023, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, accompanied by a delegation visited the Erbil General Directorate of Health that were received by the General Director Dr. Dlovan Muhamed Fatih Jalal.
In a meeting where the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Dean of Erbil Medical Technical Institute Asst. Prof. Umed Arshad Hawezi, Ms. Media Fazil Jalil, the Head of Quality Assurance and Mr. Hindren Younis Najm, Decision Maker of Nursing Department of Medical Technical Institute were present the issue of the scientific level of nursing was discussed and the collaboration of both sides in scientific issues of nursing was reaffirmed.
in the meeting, they also discussed the closer cooperation and collaboration between the Erbil Polytechnic University and the Erbil General Directorate of Health in order to improve the process of health education and health services in health institutions in Erbil.
the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and Prof. Dr. Yousif Mustafa Rasul the Vice Rector for Student Affairs visited the Barzani Charity Foundation and were welcomed by Mr. Musa Ahmad, the Foundation President.
In a meeting where the Head of Marketing Department of the Erbil Technical Administrative College Dr. Sherzad Mahdi was available, the attendees discussed the importance of technical education in the Kurdistan Region and both sides agreed to pay attention to the colleges and departments of technical universities in general and Erbil Polytechnic University in particular as its graduates serve as central cadres.
In this meeting they also discussed the need to implement joint projects between the two parties and emphasized the participation of the Barzani Charity Foundation in the activities of our university and benefit from the experience of our university graduates that will create job opportunities for them.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue and further develop their relationships that will be a step to further serve the students and our university alumni.
