The Rector of the University received a group of students who are going to the Sultanate of Oman for summer internships

Today, Thursday, the 6th of July, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received four students of our university who are scheduled to go to the Sultanate of Oman tomorrow for summer internship at Nizwa University.

In the meeting where the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and the Director of International Relations Office of the University were present, the Rector highlighted the importance of summer training for our students a foreign country.

He said such trainings for students will have great effects on them. They will become familiar with another culture, see the scientific experience of those countries and show the culture of their nation.

Finally, our Rector wished safe and successful trip for the students.

Erbil Polytechnic University and the Ministry of Health Emphasize the need for coordination between them

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University and Dr. Saman Barzanji, the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq stressed the necessity of collaboration between them.

On Wednesday, the 5th of July 5, 2023, the university Rector visited the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq that was received by Dr. Saman Barzanji.

In a meeting where the Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Mr. Umed Arshad Hawezi, the Dean of the  Erbil Medical Technical Institute, the Dean Assistant of the Health and Medical Technical College, the Director of the International Relations Office, and the Director of the Career Development Center (CDC) were present the Minister of Health welcomed the Rector and his accompanying delegation and expressed his pleasure for their visit.

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector expressed his gratitude towards Dr. Saman Barzanji, the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region for welcoming them and emphasized on the importance of the meeting.

During the meeting, the need for collaboration between the medical and health departments of the Erbil Polytechnic University and the health institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Health was discussed.

An Announcement From Erbil Polytechnic University For Students And Graduates With Creative Ideas

The Directorate of International Relations Office of the Erbil Polytechnic University informs students and alumni that on the 5th of September, 2023, the German International Organization (DAAD) will conduct a festival for students and graduates with creative ideas, in Sulaymaniya University.

The festival is based on the fact that participants present their project ideas in English within three minutes which will be evaluated by a special committee. Then, the best ideas will be selected and will be sent to Germany to participate in training courses to further develop their skills.

For this purpose, any student or graduate of our university who wishes to attend the course must receive an approval from our university to be supported as a student or graduate of our university

The News of Sending 33 Students of the Erbil Polytechnic University to Poland in Iraqi Newspapers

Several Iraqi newspapers reported that 33 students of the Erbil Polytechnic University have been sent to Poland for summer training.

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University and the Directorate of the International Relations Office, arranged a farewell ceremony for several students who traveled to Poland for summer internship at the Lodz University within the framework of student exchange program between the Erbil Polytechnic University and universities around the world.

The news of sending these students to the University of Lodz in Poland received special attention in a number of Iraqi newspapers and magazines.

the website of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) newspaper Al-Takhi published a news entitled “the Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU) has sent several students to Poland for summer training” in which they pointed out the importance of relations between the Erbil Polytechnic University and universities worldwide.

Meanwhile, the newspaper (Kul Al-Akhbar) in its issue 3223 published on the 25th of June, reported the sending of 33 university students to the University of Lodz in Poland.

In its June 25 issue 4144, Al-Baina al-Jadeedah, an independent and impartial newspaper published in Baghdad, highlighted the steps taken by the Erbil Polytechnic University, its progress and relations with other universities around the world that attributed it to the efforts of the Rector and the university staff.

Also, Al-Dastur Newspaper in its issue 5610 on the 25th of June and Al-Sabah Al-Jadeed newspaper in its issue 5136 published on Sunday, June 25, similar to other newspapers, published the news of sending a number of students to Poland.

Within the framework of the student exchange program for scientific trips around the world, 33 students of the Erbil Polytechnic University will perform summer internship at the University of Lodz in Poland.
