On Monday, the 11^th of September, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received a delegation from Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy consisting of Dr. Daniel Fit Paldi and Dr. Glara Fuad Hassan.

In a meeting where several members of the university council and director of the International Relations Office were present, after introducing our university to the guest delegation, they discussed the establishment of academic and scientific relations between the Erbil Polytechnic University and Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy. Both universities agreed upon Signing a memorandum of understanding to conduct scientific activities such as scientific conferences and conduct joint scientific research between the teachers of both universities.

The meeting also focused on the work strategy and capacity of our university and the successful programs it conducts in collaboration with other universities around the world, especially student exchange. The Erbil Polytechnic University annually trains more than 30 to 40 students abroad, which gives them the necessary experience, knowledge and information to successfully complete the training.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross Organization (ICRC).

In the meeting the Vice Rectors for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, the Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Director of the International Relations Office, and the Head of the Department of Prosthetic and Orthotics Department were present. They discussed the continuation of the Prosthetic and Orthotics Department which is for now financially supported by ICRC and in the next stages the responsibility of this department will be upon of our university.

An international evaluator accompanied the delegation who will evaluate the programs and laboratories of the Prosthetic and Orthotics Department.

On Sunday, the 10^th of September, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received a delegation of WFP.

In a meeting where the Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs and the directors of the Career Development, Engineering and Projects were present, they discussed the job fair and graduation ceremony for the students who have successfully completed the training courses in collaboration with our university WFP, which is financially supported by the German Ministry of Cooperation.

Within the framework of the work strategy and program of the Erbil Polytechnic University to assist the community, on Friday the 8^th of September, 2023, on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, students and graduates of the Department of Physiotherapy of the Erbil Technical College of Health and Medicine held an activity at the Grand Majidi Mall.

The activity included distributing guidelines and posters on the role of physiotherapy in arthritis among citizens, which was prepared by the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy in the Erbil Technical College of Health and Medicine in Kurdish language.

Annually, the World Organization for Physiotherapy conducts several activities in countries that include raising public awareness and preparing several posters in different languages. Fortunately, the Department of Physiotherapy has been preparing posters in Kurdish Language.
