The Vice Rector for Scientific and Higher Education Affairs receives a group of students who are going abroad for summer internships

On Wednesday, the 26th of June, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asngar, the Vice Rector for Scientific and Higher Education Affairs, received a number of students of Erbil Polytechnic University who are scheduled to go to the Kingdom of Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman soon for summer internships.

In the meeting, Dr. Talib Mohammed Sharif, the Dean of the Mergasor Technical Institute; Abdullah Omer Yasin, the Head of the Cultural Relations of the University Presidency, gave necessary instructions to the students. He advised them to show a beautiful example of the Kurdish people, take advantage of their experience and knowledge and promote the name of Kurds and Kurdistan and make the citizens of these countries familiar with the beautiful Kurdish customs and traditions.

It is worth mentioning that the number of students is six students, from both Erbil Technical Administrative College and Soran Technical College, two of them in Jordan and the other four students in the Sultanate of Oman will conduct summer training and stay in those countries for a month.

The Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University receives Japanese Ambassador in Iraq

On Wednesday, the 26th of June, 2024, Prof. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received Mr. Matsumoto Hutoshi, the Ambassador of Japan in Iraq and his accompanying delegation.

In a meeting where the Vice Rectors of the Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Scientific and Higher Education Affairs, the Student Affairs, the General Director of the Scientific Research Center, and the Director of the Rector’s Office were present, the University Rector expressed his pleasure at the visit of the Japanese Ambassador and accompanying delegation. He presented the history of the university, vision and working strategy of the Erbil Polytechnic University to the guest delegation, and also talked about the specialties that exist in our university.

 The Japanese Ambassador in Iraq thanked the Rector for receiving him and expressed his pleasure with the level and scientific, and human capacity of our university.

In another topic of the meeting they discussed about using the experience and scientific and academic capabilities of that country, whether through opening development courses for our university staff or sending teachers and employees of our university to Japan in order to participate in training courses and improve their skills.

In this regard, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his readiness to coordinate and work together with our university.
