A delegation from the US Consulate General in Erbil visits Mergasor Technical Institute
Today, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, a delegation from the US Consulate General in Erbil led by Pamela Hack, Deputy Consul General and Doug Morrow visited Mergasor Technical Institute.
The purpose of the visit was friendship and to become more familiar with the Mergasor Technical Institute and its future programs and plans of it, knowing more about the possible the areas that are necessary for the growth of the institute.
In a meeting attended by the members of the council of the institute, the Dean of the institute shed light on importance of their visit and requested the consulate to assist the institute in obtaining grants, and support for training courses, exchange of students and academic staff as well as capacity building of employees.
In another part of the meeting, the dean of the institute told the guest delegation that they plan to open two scientific departments (beekeeping department and medicinal plants department) for this purpose asked to cooperate with the institute within the Iraqi economic growth program.
Then the Dean of the Institute presented several gifts to the delegation of the U. S. Consulate General in Erbil. The delegation thanked the Dean and the Council of the Institute.
The delegation also expressed their pleasure that Mergasor Technical Institute has developed in the field of scientific activities and international relations in a record period, including international scientific activities, academic partnerships and sister-college with Portville College in Californian. The Deputy U.S Consul General reaffirmed and promised to cooperate to further develop sitter-college relations.

Then The Deputy U.S. Consul General Pamela Hack wrote some memoirs in the Golden Book of the Institute, talking about Mergasor Technical Institute, its scientific departments and their kind hospitality.
As for lunch time, Mergasor Technical Institute hosted the guest delegation with several Kurdish local dishes.

Erbil Polytechnic University has fulfilled its ninth course of pedagogy

On Tuesday, the 21st of May, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University; Asst. Prof. Zhala Saeed Khatat, the General Director of the Research and Development Office in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Andam, the Head of Pedagogy in the Ministry of Higher Education, the Vice Rectors and the General Director of Scientific Research Center The ninth pedagogical course ended in a ceremony and certificates were distributed to the participants.

At the beginning, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University welcomed the guests and congratulated the graduates of the course and highlighted the importance of the course and said: “Dear graduates of the ninth course of pedagogy in Erbil Polytechnic University, Congratulations, by completing this course you will go to the final stage to receive a new and sacred name, especially the name of a university professor, which is a high and sacred name not only in our society but in all societies The strongest country in the world is looking for a job. Most of them find a job as teachers and become university professors. In many other countries, even in Iran, former President Ahmadinejad said: It is important, we hope you succeed in winning that title.”

“To become a successful teacher, you must have love for your profession. If you want to be successful, you must love your profession. As a successful teacher, if you want to be successful, first of all think about love teaching If you do that, you will surely respect your surroundings, the classroom you enter, the equipment in the classroom, the students sitting there with your colleagues in your profession We hope you will succeed and become a successful teacher in Kurdistan universities and be able to serve more young people who come to university so that they can take their place in society according to their expertise.

At the end of the ceremony, graduation certificates were awarded to the teachers participating in the ninth course of pedagogy at Erbil Polytechnic University.

It is worth mentioning that the participants of the ninth course of pedagogy in Erbil Polytechnic University consisted of 71 students who supervised a number of teachers inside and outside Erbil Polytechnic University for six months.

A Representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University in Baghdad participates in the conference on the quality of vocational education

On Monday, the 20th of May, 2024, a university Representative on behalf of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in the conference (Quality in Vocational Education – Lessons Benefited from the Experience of Vocational Schools Subordinate to the Ministry of Education) in Baghdad.

The conference is being held within the framework of the TVET2 project and was organized by UNESCO for the Federal and Regional Ministries of Education in Baghdad in which the role of the quality assurance process in vocational education was discussed.

It is worth mentioning that representatives of the Ministries of Higher Education and the Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government were present at the conference.

Two Lecturers of the Erbil Polytechnic University participate in a training course in China

Two teachers from the Erbil Polytechnic University/Erbil Technology College are participating in a two-week training course in China on the Renewable Energy and Carbon Impacts.

The course was entitled (Seminar on Green Energy and the Management of Meeting Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals) in China-Chingdu. In which Dr. Yousef Taha Ma’roof and Mr. Farhad Hamad Amin Yousef participated the will continue from the 9th to 22th of May 9, 2024.

In the course, the latest developments in the field of clean energy and its impact on the world environment were explained to the participants. Another aspect of the course was dedicated to the impact of carbon.
