The Huawei-ICT Academy at the Erbil Polytechnic University has won the 8th semi-finals of the Huawei Global Technology Competition (2023–2024) with the participation of 22 countries from the Middle East and Central Asia.
The competition was held from (18 to 22 /12/ 2023) in Bahrain, in which Huawei ICT Academy of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated as the winning team in Network Track and could win the second place by our two students (Bayar Qahar Qadir) and (Bashar Qahar Qadir). These two students were supervised by the Director of the Academy (Mr. Shirin Abdullah Anwar). Also, another student of the Koya University named (Bawar Zring) participated with our university team.
After this victory, our students as the Huawei ICT Academy of the Erbil Polytechnic University in China are going to participate in the final global round.
It is worth mentioning that the Huawei Academy at Erbil the Polytechnic University was selected as the best academy in Iraq. This is the third year that Huawei Academy of our university has participated in the annual Huawei ICT competition. This year they was able to achieve very good results and reach the world level competition after conducting a number of tests.
