Today, 27th of April, 2021, the U.S. Consulate General Erbil delegation consisted of the Deputy Consul General Ms. Kathryn Kiser, Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Adrian J. Pratt, and Cultural Affairs Specialist Mr. Dler Hamad visited the Presidency of the EPU.
In the beginning, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Abdulkareem Sherwani welcomed them to the Presidency Office. The Assistant of the Rector for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, and the Director of the International Office, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah was present. In the meeting, they discussed cultural exchange programs In the USA and the collaboration between both sides to develop their relationships and cooperate with the EPU development in the academic and education fields.
Then after in the conference Hall of the EPU Presidency, The International Office of The EPU arranged a meeting between this delegation and the EPU students of different colleges and institutes to discuss their interests concerning developing their skills and language.
In another part of their speech, the Deputy Consul General Ms. Kathryn Kiser and Public Affairs Officer Mr. Adrian J. Pratt wanted to listen to students’ questions and comments. The student’s questions mostly focused on seizing job opportunities in the U.S. Consulate General Erbil and the United States of America and having an opportunity to apply for jobs and scholarships in the U.S.A. The Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Adrian J. Pratt, said, “We have several projects for this year in collaboration with the IREX organization.
