On Tuesday, the 14^th of November, 2023, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, the Vice Rectors for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, Administrative Affairs, and Student Affairs, Mr. Hazhar Othman, the Head of Aso Region, Ms. Shirin Khalid, the Head of Ainda Region, the Erbil Technical College of Engineering and Administration, and a significant number of teachers and students, in a worthy ceremony, the Directorate of Activities of the Presidency of the University opened a small football stadium in the second campus of Erbil Polytechnic University.

The stadium was built to serve the students and create a suitable environment for them. The cost of construction will be borne by the income of the Erbil Polytechnic University and will be under the supervision of the Activities Directorate of the University Presidency.

It is worth mentioning that the first campus stadium of the Erbil Polytechnic University has been opened several years ago in the Erbil Technical Administrative Institute, the sports stadium is for students and teachers of the institute, while the third stadium is under implementation.

After the opening ceremony, a friendly match was held between the students of both colleges. The first ball was moved between the deans of the Erbil Technical Administrative College and Erbil Technical Engineering College.

On Thursday, the 9^th of November, 2023, Prof. Dr. Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, offered the title of Professor to Assistant Professor Dr. Wala Jawdat Ali Jaf, a lecturer at Erbil Technical Administrative College.

In the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousif Mustafa Rasul, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Azad the Dean of the Erbil Technical Administrative College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarsam Khalil, the Director of the Public Registration, the Director of the International Relations Office, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, the Secretariat of the University Council Dr. Afan were present. Our university Rector expressed his pleasure with the promotion of the members of the teaching board of our university and said: I am very pleased with the promotion of our members and teachers to change their titles to professors. This is an important pillar of improving the level of our university, and I support all members who are assistant professors to reach a higher level to serve more and better. I feel proud when I see a significant number of our teachers have received the degree of professors, which was much lower than the current rate when I got the rector position. I assure you that we will continue this good work to serve the university and our members and students.

Later, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs extended warm congratulations to Prof. Dr. Walla Jawdat Ali Jaf and wished him to continue in servicing science and students

From his side, Prof. Dr, Wala Jawdat Ali Jaf expressed his gratitude towards the Rector and the audience and wished safety to all and was very happy with his honor and promotion and promised to do his best in developing Erbil Polytechnic University.

On Tuesday, the 7^th of November, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, accompanied by the Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato and Asst. Prof. Dr. Wala Jawdat Ali Jaf, a lecturer at the Erbil Technical Administrative College visited the Jordanian Consulate in Erbil and welcomed by Mr. Fuad Al-Majali, the Consul of the Kingdom of Jordan.

The aim of the visit was to build relationship, collaboration and cooperation between our university and the universities of the Kingdom of Jordan with the support of the consulate, to conduct joint scientific activities between universities such as scientific conferences and exchange students between our university and Jordanian universities.

In the meeting, there was full understanding between the two sides to build these relationships and collaboration to benefit from each other’s capacities and experience.

On Tuesday, the 7^th November, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, received a delegation from the General Board of Kurdistan Peshmerga Support Organization.

In the meeting, both sides emphasized on strengthening their relationship, cooperation and collaboration to further serve the Peshmerga and the martyrs’ families.

From his side, his Excellency the university Rector, Prof. Edrees Harki, spoke about the significant role of the Peshmerga in protecting Kurdistan and expressed his readiness for any assistance and service that improves the situation of the Peshmerga.

Finally, the guest delegation presented the logo of the organization to the Rector and expressed their pleasure with their visit.
