Today, Wednesday, the 24th of April, 2024, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University, Prof. Dr. Ayad Zaki Saber, the Dean of the Erbil Technical Engineering College participated in the opening ceremony of a scientific conference of Jihan University – Erbil entitled “5th International Conference on Communication Engineering and Computer Science” that was a joint project between the Cihan University – Erbil, the International Islamic University Malaysia, and the Ajloun National University – Jordan.
To concentrate more on the field of scientific, vocational and technical education, a scientific agreement was signed between Erbil Polytechnic University and Ningbo University of China.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Younis Khalid Khoshnaw is the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University’s Representative in China signed a scientific and academic agreement between Erbil Polytechnic University and Ningbo University in China.
According to the agreement, the two universities can collaborate and carry out joint scientific activities, which includes the development of educational programs, the exchange of students and teaching staff, technical and vocational courses and training.
It is worth mentioning that the agreement was signed in the presence of a representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the Chinese government between the two universities.
Today, Tuesday, the 23rd of April, 2024, within the framework of the strategy of the university Rector to promote the infrastructure of colleges and institutes and in the presence of a significant number of party and government officials and prominent personalities of the region, the conference hall of Shaqlawa Technical College was inaugurated in a worthy ceremony.
In the ceremony, Dr. Pishtiwan Sadiq, the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Mr. Rizgar Anwar, the Head of the 24th Branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Mr. Safin Chia Harki, the Assistant of the Erbil Provincial Organization Bureau; Prof. Dr. Azad Hassan Qadir, the Vice Rector for the Administrative and Financial Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Ahmed, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, several members of the council of the Erbil Polytechnic University, lecturers and employees were present.
Firstly, several verses from the Holy Quran were read by Mullah Soran Hussein, then a moment of silence for the souls of Kurdistan martyrs with the national anthem Ay Raqib, later a documentary film about Shaqlawa Technical College was presented.
In a speech, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulkhaliq Nader Qadir, the Dean of the Shaqlawa Technical College, appreciated the support and assistance of the Presidency of the Erbil Polytechnic University and the Rector of the University. He said: “The construction of this hall is a living example that in a short time with the financial problems in the most beautiful and worthy way to present the hall to us thank you.”
Then, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the University, warmly welcomed the guests and congratulated the opening of the hall in Shaqlawa Technical College. He said: “The ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government led by Mr. Masrour Barzani has always tried to serve all sectors of people’s life and particularly in the science and education.
The construction of this conference hall is one of the significant services of the ninth cabinet for our college and Shaqlawa town. Congratulations, rest assured that there is much better work ahead and the students deserve more.”
Later, Dr. Pashtiwan Sadiq, the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government, spoke about the importance of the hall and said: “Congratulations on this exemplary hall I hope your level of knowledge and information is in line with our expectations and the Kurdistan Regional Government and pay more attention to knowledge and information They need protection and are the product of the blood of the martyrs.
Mr. Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, is a contributor to a unified and secure Kurdistan. His visit to the United States brought about the solution of all economic problems, as we saw that the Iraqi Prime Minister in the United States was asked to solve the salary problem and find an urgent solution as soon as possible.
Kurdistan will move towards a brighter future if there are no local hands against us who do not see all the services, progress and prosperity of the region Shaqlawa and surroundings.
Before the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, Dr. Pashtiwan Sadiq, Mr. Rizgar Anwar, the Head of Safini Branch 24 of PDK, the Dean of Shaqlawa Technical College, presented shields of honor to the former deans of the college who have played a significant role in serving and developing the college. The ceremony was arranged by the Tishk International University in collaboration with the University of Sfax, Tunisia, the University of Philadelphia, Jordan, the Chimnitz University of Technology, Germany and the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
