On Wednesday 2022/12/14 three seminars were presented under the supervision of Assist Prof. Dr. Botan Majid Asngar Dean of Erbil Technology College, the first seminar by (Ms. Sivan Hussein Ali) under the title (Free space Laser Communication) The second seminar by (Ms. Sazan Ali Kamal) under the title (Using Efficient LOU loss function ln point Pillars Network for Detecting 3D object). Third by (Ms. Miasa Hatam Aswad) under the title (Food additives).

Erbil Polytechnic University, Jointly With UTH Germany Conducts A Training Course

In Collaboration with UTH University of Germany, the Erbil Polytechnic University held a scientific course entitled “Basic Electronic Laboratory that continued for one week.”

The course was funded by DAAD International Organization for a week from the 7th of November to the 1st of December 2022, in which the academic staff from the Erbil Technology College, Erbil Technical Engineering college, and three staff members of Department of Physics of the College of Education-Salahaddin University participated.

After the course, on Monday, the 5th of December 2022, the University Rector, Prof. Dr. Edrees Mohammed Tahir Harki, received the supervisors, teachers, and participants of the course and offered them honorary and participation certificates.

Erbil Polytechnic University Receives Russian Consul In Erbil

Today, the 30th of November 2022, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector, Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, received the Russian Consul in Erbil, Mr. Maxim Rubin.

The University Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs and the International Relations Office Director were present at this meeting. His Excellency, the University Rector, talked briefly about EPU. Then the Russian Consul spoke about the old relationships between his country and Kurdistan from the last century’s sixties and continued till now.

Both parties discussed building a relationship between our university and the Russian Universities through the Russian General Consulate in Erbil to benefit from their scientific capacities.

From his side, the Russian Consul promised to enhance our relations. Accordingly, he asked for writing a formal letter from the consulate, and they will direct it to their country’s universities to build an academic and scientific relationship in the nearest future.

Erbil Polytechnic University Started Selecting Refugees To Attend A Training Course

Within the framework of the Camp Plus project, the Directorate of International Relations Office of the Erbil Polytechnic University is conducting a training course for refugees in camps in Erbil and its surroundings (Qushtapa, Kurgosk, Darashakran, Basrma). After an evaluation process, several refugees and students were selected to participate in the course.

The purpose of the training course is to help and train refugees to integrate into society to become an economic resource for themselves and their community.

The project is funded by Erasmus Plus of the European Union and will continue until the end of 2024.
