The department has been established in Dokan Technical institute, and then transferred to Koya Technical Institute by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan, and Board of Technical Study of Kurdistan in the study year of 2008-2009.
Both Morning and Evening study implemented in this department until now expect two academic years of 2013-2014 & 2014-2015 owing to unavailable enough of academic staff.
Objectives
the object and goals of the department are creating and developing moderate employee for both government and private sectors. Graduated student could work in Hotel & Motels, Restaurants, Malls, Resorts and all tourism attractive places, Airports, Tourism Companies, Boarder gates, and all bureaus.
