In 2006 the Radiology department that opened at Erbil Technical Medical Institute, the graduated in this department armed with the ability and skills where he can deal and cooperate with the radiation to satisfy the patient needs during before and after, radiation procedure, the student graduated after 2 years and 4 semesters were he success in 22 modules (3 general, 4 assist and 33 core).
Vision
To reach the goals that say, “A LARA” stands for “as low as reasonably achievable”. ALARA means avoiding exposure to radiation that does not have a direct benefit to you, even if the dose is small. To do this, you can use three basic protective measures in radiation safety: time, distance, and shielding this department was made, Assistant Radiologist Technician, is center for preparing radiologist staff that play his role and act in the MRI, CT scan and X-ray Units.
Mission
Graduated in this department is familiar with whole body radiation in MRI, CT scan and X-ray Units, that satisfied academic radiologist technician needs, he has ability and skill in some minor work to nil the radiology patient defects
