At 2002 the Dental Technician was the first dental department that opened at Erbil Technical Medical Institute, after a years in 2010 the Preventive Department was the second dental family’s which opened but unfortunately both branches was closed at 2014 and 2015 at the same years the Dental Assistant Department as the third branch of dental family was opened, the graduated in this department armed with the ability and skills where he can deal and cooperate with the dentist to satisfy the patient needs before, during and after dental procedure, the student graduated after 2 years and 4 semester where he success in 22 modules (3 general, 4 assist and 15 core).
Vision
To reach the goals that say “” Dentist should have 4 hand “”this department was made, Dental Assistant department is center for preparing dental staff that play his role and act as the dentist accessory hand.
Mission
Graduated in this department is familiar with whole dental clinic (job, material and device) that satisfied academic dental needs, he has ability and skill in some minor work to fill the dental patient defects.
