Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Visits Two Advanced Laboratories At Erbil Technology College

On Monday the 27^th of June 2022, Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki College Dean visited both advanced laboratories of Digital Electronic and Microcontroller at ATE Department and Radar System at ICT Department. These laboratories were built by the LN German company with a budget reaching two hundred million dinars, and the Erbil Technology College has opened a training course for both staff departments that are supervised by international German trainers.

It is worth mentioning that 27 lecturers and the staff departments participate in the workshops that will continue for five days, five hours a day, in which the participants will get familiar with using and taking benefit of the new instruments in the laboratories.

Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Received Divan General Manager of Interior Ministry

On Monday the 27^th of June 2022, Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki received the Divan General Manager of Interior Ministry Dr. Hemen Mirani.

In a meeting, Dr. Hemen Mirani congratulated the University Rector for his new position and wished him success in his career. His Excellency, the EPU Rector, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for his kind words and thanked him for his visit.

In the meeting where Mr. Umed Hawezi was available, they discussed the Criminal Evidences Department of the Erbil Technical Medical Institute, the department’s needs, and the procedure for receiving new students for the 2022-2023 study year.

Erbil Polytechnic University Rector receives SPARK International Organization Delegation

On Sunday the 26^th of June 2022, Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki received a SPARK International Organization delegation headed by the Project Manager Mr. Firas Deeb.

In a meeting session, the SPARK International Organization delegation congratulated the University Rector for his new rectorship position. They also discussed the quality of the SPARK project they implemented in collaboration with our university; and discussed plans to work on future projects. The SPARK project tends to train the refugees, displaced people, and the EPU alumni to increase their skills and prepare them for the labor market.

In this session, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs and the Career and Development Center Department Director were present.

Erbil Polytechnic University Fulfilled A Civil Defense Training Course

Under the supervision of the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Asst.Prof.Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, in collaboration with the Erbil Civil Defense Directorate and the University Health and Safety Department, completed a civil defense training course on Thursday, 16th of June 2022, at the EPU Celebration Hall. The colleges and institutes’ administrative staff and several university presidency employees participated in the course.

On Thursday, our university Rector Assistants for Administration and Students Affairs attended the celebration of the course completion. They offered the certificate of participation to the Erbil Civil Defense Directorate officers-staff and other participants.

It is worth mentioning that the course continued for five days, from 12 to 16th of June 2022, in which the training course supervisors theoretically and practically taught the art of behavior during the accidents and fire disasters, burning, traffic accidents, building evacuation, First Aid, and Civil Defense to the attendees.
