Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Visits Indian Country Consulate In Erbil

On Thursday, the 8^th of September 2022, a delegation of the Erbil Polytechnic University headed by the University Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki visited the Indian Country Consulate in Erbil, and the Indian General Consul received them.

In a meeting where the University Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs, the Mergasor Technical Institute Dean, and the International Relations Office Director of the EPU Presidency were available, they talked about the continuation of our University and the Indian Universities relationships through the Indian Consulate in Erbil that contain the staff and lecturers exchange and the constant academic and scientific relations.

From his side, the Indian Consul assured his support and collaboration to continue both parties’ relationships, including the Indian expert’s visit to the Kurdistan Region and sending our university students and lecturers to this country’s universities to participate in various training courses. In this meeting, the Consulate decided to provide several book sources for our University and the Mergasor Technical Institute.

A Delegation of Erbil Polytechnic University Participates In ICT Conference Preparation

On Wednesday, the 7th of September 2022, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, attended the preparation meeting regarding the first ICT Conference in the Kurdistan Region.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research supervises the conference in which the universities with Huawei Center participate. The universities are (Erbil Polytechnic, Sulamaniyia Polytechnic, Salahadin, Duhok, and Garmian). It is worth mentioning the conference is financially supported and funded by the Huawei Company.

A Delegation of Erbil Polytechnic University Participates In Bologna Process Scientific Conference Works And Activities

A delegation of the Erbil Polytechnic University headed by the University Rector Asst.Prof.Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki attended the works and activity process of the Bologna Process Scientific Conference of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry, which continued for two days.

The conference was held on the 28^th and 29^th of August 2022 at the Rotana-Erbil Hotel, where our university participated through panels, presentations, and live dialogues.

Erbil Polytechnic University is one of the universities that worked on the Bologna Process in the past and was an influential member of the conference.

It is worth mentioning that the representatives of all governmental and private universities and Bologna Process foreign experts from several European and neighboring countries attended this conference.

This conference aims to review and evaluate different viewpoints of the Bologna Process through dialogues and scientific debates to determine the problems and obstacles that face the process and find designs and proper ways to solve them; it has been about seven years since the ministry decided on implementing it. Today, the Bologna Process Conference successfully fulfilled its works.

Two Students of Erbil Polytechnic University Perform their Summer Training at Nizwa University In Oman Sultanate

Within the works and activities of the International Relations Office Directorate of the University and after the evaluation process, two of the Erbil Technical Engineering College participated in the summer training in the Nizwa University of Oman Sultanate that continued from the 1^st to the 21^st of August 2022.

Throughout the training, the students became familiar with Oman Sultanate culture and the Nizwa University Program and education system; meanwhile, they visited several Engineering College laboratories where they get trained on many advanced machines. Our university students performed numerous scientific and cultural activities, such as seminars about the education system in our university and introducing Kurdistan culture.

It is worth mentioning that this program came into implementation for the summer training after the EPU participation in the 27^th conference of the Association of Arab Universities. It is supposed the summer training will continue to give opportunities to the third-grade students of the Erbil Polytechnic University colleges to participate in the activity in one of the Arab Countries Universities.
