On Tuesday, the 11^th of July, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received a number of students of the College of Engineering of the Palestine Polytechnic University who came to our university for summer internship.

In the meeting the Vice Rector for the Student Affairs, the Director of International Relations Office, and the Administrative Director were present. After welcoming the students, the Rector briefly talked about the history of peaceful coexistence between ethnic and religious communities in Kurdistan. He said the Palestine and the Kurdistan Region had strong relationship and had expressed their condolences to each other in the history of the tragedies that have occurred in both countries.

The guest students expressed their pleasure to conduct summer internship in Kurdistan and the Erbil Polytechnic University and considered it important and necessary to provide such opportunities to become more familiar with each other’s culture. Finally, the university Rector wished them enjoy their trip in Kurdistan which is the place of coexistence and asked them after the training they can visit the places that are part of Kurdistan’s history and mix with the people of this region.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University On Monday, the 10^th of June, 2023, the Erbil Polytechnic University organized a workshop on (The Work of Magazine Editors) for Prof. Dr. Fazel Ismail, the Director of Al-Bahr Magazine –Al-Kafil University/Najaf organized the event at the University Presidency.

In a workshop where the Director of the Scientific Journal of our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Karwan Wasman, the Director of International Relations Office and the members of the university journal committee were present, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fazel Wasman briefed the audience regarding the details of the editors work, the importance of the Digital Commons System in the magazine, and several other important topics about the work of the magazine.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Fazel Wasman is also the Dean of Al-Kafil University in Najaf, has a lot of expertise about scientific journals and during his journey, in addition to this workshop that was only for editors, he will perform another workshop concerning scientific journals and digital commons at the Shaqlawa technical College.

Today, Thursday, the 6^th of July, 2023, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University, received four students of our university who are scheduled to go to the Sultanate of Oman tomorrow for summer internship at Nizwa University.

In the meeting where the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and the Director of International Relations Office of the University were present, the Rector highlighted the importance of summer training for our students a foreign country.

He said such trainings for students will have great effects on them. They will become familiar with another culture, see the scientific experience of those countries and show the culture of their nation.

Finally, our Rector wished safe and successful trip for the students.

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University and Dr. Saman Barzanji, the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq stressed the necessity of collaboration between them.

On Wednesday, the 5^th of July 5, 2023, the university Rector visited the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq that was received by Dr. Saman Barzanji.

In a meeting where the Asst. Prof. Dr. Nageb Toma Bato, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Mr. Umed Arshad Hawezi, the Dean of the  Erbil Medical Technical Institute, the Dean Assistant of the Health and Medical Technical College, the Director of the International Relations Office, and the Director of the Career Development Center (CDC) were present the Minister of Health welcomed the Rector and his accompanying delegation and expressed his pleasure for their visit.

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Erbil Polytechnic University Rector expressed his gratitude towards Dr. Saman Barzanji, the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Region for welcoming them and emphasized on the importance of the meeting.

During the meeting, the need for collaboration between the medical and health departments of the Erbil Polytechnic University and the health institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Health was discussed.
