A Representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University participates in the Arab Universities Conference for Registration and Admission Affairs in Tunisia

A Representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University participated in the Conference of the Arab Universities for Registration and Admission Affairs which continued from 18/12/2023 to 21/12/2023 in Tunisia.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarsam Khalil Omar, the Director of the Public Registration as a representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University and a member of the Arab Universities Organization for the Registration and Admission Officials participated in the 40th conference of the organization held this year at the University of Tunis Al-Manar in Tunisia.

On the sidelines of the conference, the representative of the Erbil Polytechnic University held several important meetings and interviews with the Iraqi Ambassador in Tunisia and representatives of the participated universities  in the conference to exchange information and strengthen relationships in the field of registration and admission to more serve our university students.

An Academic Staff of Erbil Polytechnic University participates in a training course in Germany

A lecturer of the Erbil Technology College represented Erbil Polytechnic University in a training course entitled (3D Scanning in Additive Manufacturing) which was held from the 11 to 15th December 2023, at the University of Freiburg.

This course was sponsored by the German International Organization (DAAD) in which Dr. Dilêr Abdullah Ahmed, a lecturer at the Erbil Technology College, participated and Prof. Dr. Zeidler as the course supervisor and Dr. Abdulkader Kadauw was the project leader and coordinator of the project and the course.

The University Rector met with criminal evidence students and opened an exhibition at Erbil Medical Technical Institute

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the Erbil Polytechnic University visited the Erbil Medical Technical Institute and was welcomed by Asst. Prof. Mr. Umed Arshad Hawezi, the Dean of the Institute, the Dean Assistant and several heads of departments.

Then the Rector met with the students of the criminal evidence department, which is the first scientific department in Iraqi universities in the Erbil Medical Technical Institute for employees of the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region.

The Rector pointed out the importance of studying in this scientific department and assured them of the university’s full support.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki opened an art exhibition for female students in the Erbil Technical Institute.

After visiting the exhibition, the university Rector congratulated the organizers of the exhibition and the students who exhibited their products and works in the exhibition.

He also had a close discussion with the participants of the exhibition and expressed his support for the further development of their work.

The University Rector visited the pedagogy course at the Erbil Polytechnic University

On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, his Excellency Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki, the Rector of the University visited the Pedagogy Center and participated in a lecture of the course. He delivered a speech about the skills and abilities of modern teachers and the characteristics that modern teachers should acquire. He said: “Teachers should make the learning environment a modern learning environment through these skills and try to enable students to acquire skills that they can use in practice to find their place in the labor market,”.

In another part of his statement, the rector considered it necessary for teachers to create a link or relationship with the labor market in order to know what the contemporary needs of the labor market are and the skills that the labor market needs to develop its curriculum on this basis, the university becomes an institution that serves society in practice.

At the end of his speech, Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki congratulated the pedagogical center, teachers and supervisors of the course and wished success to the participants.​
