In the presence of the Rector, the Tourism and Construction Course Participants were Awarded

After participating in a training course regarding the tourism and construction fields, the participants were received certificate. In the celebration, the Rector of Erbil Polytechnic University Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki was present.

The ceremony was held at the Erbil Castle in which the European Union Representative in Iraq, the Director of the International Relations Office of the university presidency, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah and a number of other guests participated.

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki delivered a speech in which he thanked the course presenters for appointing the  Erbil Polytechnic University to implement the course for youth skills development for university graduates and young people from other cities in the Kurdistan Region and youth in West Kurdistan who achieved  job opportunities through this course.

Prof. Dr. Edrees Muhamad Tahir Harki pointed out the role of the university that in addition to serving as a scientific and academic center at the same time plays a great role in serving the society, and expressed his pleasure that Erbil Polytechnic University serves Erbil Castle in two ways. On the one hand,  a number of teachers of the university participated in the course to develop youth skills as lecturers and on the other hand a number of the university alumni were participants of the course.

Afterwards, certificates were distributed on the participants.

It is worth mentioning that 40 people participated in this course, within 20 days they were trained in the field of tourism and archeology and then they were given the opportunity to participate in the renovation process of the Erbil Castle, which is on the UNESCO list of historical monuments.

The opening of this training course and providing job opportunities for a number of young people is part of the efforts of our university with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the financial support of the European Union and UNESCO.
