Erbil Polytechnic University In Collaboration With UNESCO And ILO Will Conduct A Training Course In Erbil Castle

On Tuesday, the 17th of January 2023, the starting ceremony of the training course on the development of the cultural heritage of the Erbil Castle was held in the presence of representatives of the Erbil Polytechnic University and project partners consisting of UNESCO and ILO.

This project is dedicated to refugee youth and Kurdistan youth for human development, which is funded by the European Union under the supervision of UNESCO and ILO and the course is conducted by the Erbil Polytechnic University lecturers.

More than 40 people in two groups will attend the course. who are supervised by Dr. Afaf Yousef Nuri and Mr. Soran Khorani, which will last for 20 days. At the end of the course, the participants will be awarded certificates approved by the Erbil Polytechnic University.

Erbil Polytechnic University in collaboration with the Ministry of Reconstruction and Tishk International University Fulfilled a Training Course

On Tuesday, December 17, 2023, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Prof. Idris Mohammed Tahir Harki, Minister of Reconstruction and Housing Dana Abdulkarim, President of Tişk International University Idris Hadi, Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw and a number of government officials, in the meeting hall of the General Directorate of Roads and Reconstruction of Erbil held the closing ceremony of an engineering course that was opened for engineers of the Ministry of Reconstruction.

In his speech, the Rector congratulated the supervisors and participants of the course and said that Erbil Polytechnic University is always ready to work together and assist government institutions in various fields to improve the scientific level and skills of local employees to serve Kurdistan.

In the ceremony, the Minister of Reconstruction and Housing delivered a speech in which he expressed his pleasure for opening such courses and thanked the supervisors of the course and emphasized on more coordination and joint work between the Ministry of Reconstruction and Housing and Kurdistan universities especially engineering colleges. He said: “Many important projects in Kurdistan, especially roads, are carried out by the Ministry of Reconstruction and Housing, which makes the role and influence of universities continue to play an important role in providing technical assistance to engineers supervising projects.

Erbil Polytechnic University jointly with Tishk International University supervised the course that lasted for three months in which 70 engineers of this ministry attended and the lectures were presented by 10 lecturers of both universities. At the end of the ceremony, graduation certificates were awarded to the engineers and honorary certificates were awarded to the teachers.

A Delegation Of Erbil Polytechnic University Attends The World University Union’ Symposium on (Migration and Displacement, its Consequences).

  Today, the 17th of January, 2023, at the Didaman Hotel, under the supervision of Salahaddin University-Erbil and in the presence of Prof. Kameran Younis Mohammed Amin, the Rector of Salahaddin University, the Minister of Education, the EPU Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr.Yousef Mustafa Rasul, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Consultant, and the President of the World University Union, held a symposium on the problem of migration and displacement and its consequences.

In the symposium where the senior officials of the World University Union, Iraqi and Kurdistan Universities were available the symposium organizers focused on the problem of migration and displacement, its consequences and dimensions. Furthermore, the factors that cause migration from one place to another and Global and local research and data on migration were discussed.
